Description
A Montserrat horseback riding tour from Barcelona gives you something the usual monastery visit does not: an hour in the saddle on park trails, with the jagged peaks around you. The day lasts about six and a half hours and the van from Barcelona is air-conditioned.
The first stop is the Abbey of Montserrat and its Basilica, with entrance included. A guide then leads a walk through Montserrat National Park, pointing out plants and wildlife among the rocks. After that comes the ride itself, one hour guided on horseback with views that stretch toward the Mediterranean and the distant Pyrenees.
The day ends at a local ranch, where you can look at the horses against the mountain backdrop before heading back to the city.

Age and weight requirements apply to the riding, for the safety of the animals: children under 12 and people over 91 kg cannot take part, and the operator may refuse the ride if the limits are not met. The tour is not suitable for wheelchair users, and it may be cancelled in very cold or wet weather. Hotel pick-up, food, drinks and tips are not included.
