Montjuïc cable car tickets give you a lift above Barcelona and a way back down again. You board at the Parc de Montjuïc station, in a recently refurbished cabin that seats eight passengers, and glide up a 750-metre run (about 2,460 feet), climbing roughly 84 metres along the way.
The view opens up as you rise: the Serra de Collserola, the Mediterranean Sea, and the city's landmarks laid out below, including the unmistakable Sagrada Familia. It is an easy way to get your bearings before exploring on foot.

Three stations mark the route, so you can get off and look around the hill before heading back; the return leg is included, which saves you the walk down.
