Waterfront and beach area

The perks of Barcelona being located on the Mediterranean Sea is the beach. Stroll down Rambla del Mar for a relaxing afternoon with family, friends or your significant other. You’ll be rewarded with an array of quaint shops and restaurants and a lovely view of the sea.

Even if you don’t make your way into any of the shops and restaurants, there are plenty of places to set on a bench and ponder the terrific surroundings at Rambla del Mar. Located on the water, many of the cafes and bars can be pricy to make the area feel a tad more exclusive. Ride a cable car between Rambla del Mar and Olympic Village.
