Description
The Palau Nacional, with its remarkable neoclassical-baroque silhouette, is visible from across Barcelona atop the slopes of Montjuïc. Originally built for the 1929 World Exhibition, the Palau was restored in 2005 and now contains an extensive array of art from the early Middle Ages up to the start of the 20th century, with particular focus on Catalan art. Its greatest treasure is the collection of remarkable Romanesque frescoes, truly one-of-a-kind.
