Description

Nestled on the eastern side of Park Güell is a dusty-pink house which was the home of the renowned Catalan architect Antoni Gaudí from 1906 until his death in 1926. On display are furniture and ironwork he designed (from locations such as La Pedrera, Casa Batlló, Casa Calvet and Colonia Güell) accompanied by other memorabilia and information in Catalan, Spanish and English. Built in 1904 by Francesc Berenguer i Mestres, the house has rippling tiled floors and was designed as a prototype for the 60 original houses planned for the area.
