Description
A live guide leads this Sagrada Família tour with tower option, giving the commentary in English through a headset. The guided part takes 90 minutes. Along the way you hear how a project begun in the late 1800s grew, how Christian symbols appear in the stonework and how the façades differ from one another. Admission is fast-track, though security checks can still cause queues.
The visit continues underneath the basilica in the Museum Gaudí:
- Gaudí's life and work
- The crypt, where masses are held
- The viewing platform above Gaudí's burial site
If you choose the tower option, you go up one of the towers for panoramic views of Barcelona, taking the lift up and the stairs down. Allow about 30 minutes for it, on your own after the guide. Which tower opens depends on the day and on the building work, and rain or wind may close them all. Children under 6 cannot go up. A private tour is also available as an option.
Bring ID for children, who may be asked to prove their age. The tour is not suitable for people with mobility impairments or wheelchair users.
