Description
This paella cooking class in Barcelona is more a shared table than a lesson with endless chopping. The class is hosted by Kampada, a young Barcelona company, and a local Catalan chef who walks the group through a genuine Spanish paella and classic tapas; everyone sits down together to eat the results.
The kitchen splits into Team Seafood and Team Chicken, and each team cooks its own paella side by side. While the rice simmers you snack on Iberian cured meats and regional Spanish cheeses, plus pa amb tomàquet. When both paellas are ready you taste each one and pick a winning team together with the chef.
- Paella masterclass led by the chef
- Two sangria recipes you prepare yourself, as much as you like
- Cured meats, cheeses and pa amb tomàquet
- Digital recipe to cook it again at home
The class lasts around two hours. A vegetarian version can be chosen at booking as an optional extra; vegans cannot be accommodated, and the menu is gluten-free but cross-contamination cannot be ruled out. For other intolerances, tell the organiser more than 24 hours ahead.
