Description
This kayak and snorkeling tour in Barcelona shows the coast from the water. It lasts two hours and starts at the city's official nautical club by Barceloneta Beach, where a certified instructor gives a safety briefing and hands out the equipment. No previous kayaking or snorkeling experience is needed, but you must be a confident swimmer.
Then you paddle over the calm sea, with the city skyline, the sand and the shoreline all around you. The guide leads you to a quiet rocky spot, away from the busiest swimming areas, where you slip into the water to snorkel. Around the rocks and artificial reef structures live fish, sea urchins, algae and other native species, and the guide explains the local ecosystem and why it needs protecting.

While you snorkel, the guide takes underwater photos of you, and the pictures reach you after the tour free of charge. The spot depends on sea, weather and visibility, and marine life cannot be guaranteed. In autumn, or when conditions require it, a rash guard with long sleeves and full-length swim leggings are required. Carry some cash for optional purchases, since the club does not take cards. Not suitable for non-swimmers, pregnant women or people with mobility impairments.
