Description
This Costa Brava kayak and snorkel tour is a full day out of Barcelona led by Tim, an English guide from Bristol who has lived in Barcelona since 2017. The group is limited to eight guests and Tim leads it himself, so the day stays personal.
The van leaves from near the Arc de Triomf and drives to the coast. After changing and a short safety briefing, you spend about three hours kayaking and snorkelling among rocky coves, cliffs and caves that you cannot easily reach on foot. Tim tells stories about the area and points out wildlife, and there is usually a friendly race. A couple of optional cliff jumps are on offer, with no pressure to take part.
Lunch is a Spanish-style sandwich picnic on the rocks by the sea, with a meat or vegetarian option. Afterwards you have roughly one and a half to two hours free to swim, walk the coastal paths or relax on the beach. Tim takes photos on a GoPro throughout and emails you a link to download the photos in full quality for free.
