Description
An LGBTQ+ bar crawl in Barcelona is a guided way into Gaixample, in the Eixample district, for adults who want to meet fellow queer travellers. A host leads the evening, so there is no guessing where to go next and no standing alone: you are introduced to other people along the way.
The outing lasts about two and a half hours on foot, and every venue is within walking distance. The guide chooses places based on what the group wants from the night, so the mood shifts from calmer spots to livelier dance floors, and one stop may bring a drag show. Drinks range from a classic cocktail to something more tropical, with non-alcoholic versions at venues that offer them.
- A guide who hosts and introduces people
- Venues picked to match the group's preferences
- Local tips on the neighbourhood
- A welcoming, respectful atmosphere
This is a social night rather than a drinking tour: drinks are not included and nobody has to buy one. Venues accept tap and Apple Pay, so there is no need to carry much cash. Keep in mind the rules for behaviour in public, as the evening can end early if they are ignored. Because of city regulations, the outing is offered to private groups, solo travellers and couples, and stays small.
